Defence Minister Savvas Angelides said that we will continue to address the Turkish provocations in Cyprus’ exclusive economic zone with cautiousness, adding that responding to these provocations in the same way that Ankara behaves, would be wrong.
Speaking to the press the Minister said that we are seeing positive results in our actions at different levels but at the same time we are witnessing a continued violation of the law by Turkey which wants to destabilize the region.
He spoke of a continuous escalation of the provocations on behalf of Turkey, adding that these provocations are not only against the Republic of Cyprus and its sovereign rights but also against parts of the Eastern Mediterranean, affecting the sovereign rights of other countries as well.
