Strong eCommerce performance boosts overall sales for retail giant

Walmart have released their latest earnings report for the third quarter of the current year.

The report contains figures on both physical sales as well as eCommerce sales. In addition, it also breaks down revenue and operating income.

Walmart have reported an increase in revenue in the figure of 3.1 billion dollars. That represents an increase of 2.5%.

Food and consumables were key in the retail giant making significant market gains.

Further, eCommerce sales increased by a whopping 41%. The increase was further augmented by Walmart’s online grocery.

Walmart has exceeded expectations with their Q3 performance. Shares rose after the release of the report.
