Celestial Iris is a guitarist that combines rock and world music influences in the spirit of acts such as Tool, Mastodon, Melvins, Rodrigo y Gabriella and Al di Meola. His compositions are centred on the classical guitar, infused with acoustic percussion, creating a multi-layered instrumental acoustic rock approach with elements of ambience.
Though essentially a solo project, all live performances of original music are expanded with the inclusion of some very talented musicians, which I was lucky enough to witness twice myself. Celestial Iris has performed in multiple music venues and festivals in Cyprus and the UK, favouring intimate live sessions with intricate visual effects.
