Spanish automaker and VW group member SEAT have announced their first entry into the motorcycle market with the SEAT eScooter concept.

The company’s fully electric scooter will be released in 2020 and will have a motor equivalent to that of a 125 cc engine.

SEAT’s eScooter will be included in the company’s urban mobility strategy, which focuses on sustainability initiatives and related solutions for large and medium-sized cities.

Today we are taking a further step in our urban micromobility strategy by confirming the launch of the first eScooter in the history of the brand.”

In the same event, SEAT also presented an all-electric concept car, the Minimó.
