Paul McCartney to headline Glastonbury festival

Legendary artist confirmed as the main act in next year's event

Emily Eavis, the co-organiser of the annual Glastonbury Festival, has confirmed that Sir Paul McCartney will headline next year’s event.

This update was teased by McCartney himself on Twitter, where he shared three images. One of actress Emma Stone, composer Philip Glass, and rock artist and legend Chuck Berry. The three surnames phonetically spell the word ‘Glastonbury’.

Emily Eavis herself added: “Having Paul McCartney coming back to headline the Pyramid next year is an absolute dream come true.”

The exact dates for next year’s event have yet to be confirmed. However, they are usually linked to the Summer Solstice. With this in mind, it’s estimated that the 2020 event will take place between the 26th and 28th of June.
