A new trailer has been released for the upcoming live-action adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber‘s musical.

The film stars Taylor Swift, Judi Dench, Idris Elba, Jennifer Hudson, Jason Derulo, Ian McKellen, and Rebel Wilson.
When is it being released?
The movie hits theatres on December 25th.
What’s it about?
Universal describes the premise as such: “Over the course of a single night, a tribe of cats called the Jellicles make what is known as “the Jellicle choice” and decide which cat will ascend to the Heaviside Layer and come back to a new life.”
What’s the reaction so far?
The vast majority of fans and online commenters had strongly negative reactions upon the release of the first trailer. Most of the ire was reserved for the result of the CGI rendering on the cast’s appearance, with comments saying that the result was not exactly appealing or natural-looking.
