The Disney animated movie has enjoyed the third-best start for a film of its kind with a $127 million domestic box office in its opening week.

This comes behind ‘Incredibles 2’ and ‘Finding Dory’ who kicked their opening weeks off with $182 and $135 million respectively.

Overseas, ‘Frozen 2’ amassed $223 million for the total worldwide figure for $350 million. Should the movie sustain its momentum it may become the sixth Disney movie to generate over $1 billion at the box office this year.
