Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Christodoulides travels on Sunday to Geneva, to participate in the high-level part of the 43rd Session of the UN Human Rights Council, to be held from February 24 to 26.

Christodoulides will attend the opening of the Council on Monday and will address the plenary on Tuesday.

On the sidelines of the meeting, Christodoulides will meet on Monday with UN Secretary-General António Guterres and on Tuesday with the Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov.

During his stay in Geneva, he will meet inter alia with UN High Commissioner for Human Right Michelle Bachelet, UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi, Director General of the UN Office in Geneva and Secretary-General of the Conference on Disarmament Tatiana Valovaya, Director General of the International Organisation for Migration António Vitorino, Secretary-General of the Organisation for Islamic Cooperation Yousef Al Othaimeen, and President of the International Committee of the Red Cross Peter Maurer.

“Christodoulides will also open a photo exhibition with the Brazilian Minister of Human Rights, Family and Women Damares Alves, on the occasion of World Rare Disease Day.”
