Cyprus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Christodoulides is traveling to Rome, where on Wednesday he will hold a working visit, at the invitation of his Italian counterpart, Luigi Di Maio, during which the latest developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East, in the light of Turkey’s illegal actions in the marine zones of the Republic of Cyprus and in Libya, will be discussed.
According to a press release, Christodoulides will have a tête-à-tête meeting with Di Maio, after which talks with the participation of their delegations will take place.

The talks will focus on the latest developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East, in the light of Turkey’s illegal actions in the marine zones of the Republic of Cyprus and in Libya, energy and energy security, and cooperation in these areas on a bilateral, multilateral, and European level.

During his stay in Rome, Christodoulides will also meet with ENI CEO Claudio Descalzi.
