The Cyprus Meteorology Department issued on Saturday at 16:00 local time an extreme low-temperature warning.
The yellow warning is valid from Saturday midnight until Sunday morning.
As it is noted, the minimum temperature is expected to fall to around minus 9 degrees celsius over the highest Troodos peak.
Further, they released a prediction for snowfall in the mountain areas of the island.
